“It is through living that we discover ourselves, at the same time as we discover the world around us.”
Henri Cartier-Bresson

Welcome to this portfolio of my photographs. These works represent the landscapes that I have traversed in my time. Beginning in Adirondacks, and continuing out west. My studies began at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design as a graphic design student , and finished as a commercial photographer from Brook's Institute in Santa Barbara. Today I can say that I was a classically trained photographer in conventional photographic technique. I shot film, roll film, sheet film in every size and shape. Then about a dozen or more years ago, new technologies created a paradigm shift in photography. Being an early adapter of digital technology I was amazed at the improvement in quality, and creative control. It was a joy to experience these advancements in my time. Regardless of the camera I carried the landscape was frequently my subject. The panoramic format provides this viewing experience that closely fits my interpretation of the scene. But it is not enough to simply photograph the wonders of nature. They must be painted by the sky. The light, the weather, together they turn amazing to awesome. The pursuit is in finding these rare moments when it all comes together. From time to time I have found myself in these places. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

"Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer - and often the supreme disappointment" Ansel Adams
